FAQ

What is a hit die?

The die you roll for hit points each level (plus your Constitution modifier). Bigger die, tougher class — a wizard rolls a d6, a barbarian a d12.

When do I get Ability Score Improvements?

Most classes get them at levels 4, 8, 12, 16 and 19 — fighters and rogues get extras. They appear in each class's level table here.

Where does the data come from?

The D&D 5e API (dnd5eapi.co), based on the SRD. Dungeons & Dragons is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast; this tool isn't affiliated with them.
