How natures work
- Every Pokémon has one nature, set when you get it. It raises one stat by +10% and lowers another by −10%.
- Five natures (Hardy, Docile, Serious, Bashful, Quirky) are neutral — they change nothing.
- Natures never affect HP — only Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def and Speed.
- The flavor columns matter for berries and Pokéblocks: a Pokémon likes the flavor tied to its raised stat and dislikes the one tied to its lowered stat.

Which nature is best for a physical attacker?
Usually Adamant (+Atk −Sp. Atk) if it doesn't need Speed, or Jolly (+Spe −Sp. Atk) if it does. Both dump Sp. Atk, which physical attackers don't use.
Can I change a Pokémon's nature?
In modern games, nature mints change which stats are boosted (the listed nature stays the same). Which mints exist depends on the game version.
